My journey to social media began when I moved to Silicon Valley in 2006. In a previous life, I was a live TV news producer for network affiliates but upon coming to San Francisco, surrounded by the rapidly emerging world of web 2.0, I fell in love with blogging, new tech, trending sites, social networks, meetups, and everything in between! In 2007 I started 10th Floor Media to work with clients who wanted to bring all of these things to their mission and message.

In addition to getting creative with my clients, I work on a number of personal online projects including web TV production for GovFresh.tv, reviewing children’s books on NewberyAwardBooks.com, and postulating about life, politics and religion on my blog, alexisinthecity.com.

I work from coffee shops around the world (and blog about it here), but claim a tiny corner of San Francisco as home base, where I live with two beagles and one understanding husband, who runs his own social media company, MightyBrand.
